Multiple leading energy storage manufacturers — Containerized BESS from inland China to European end users
Several of China's leading energy storage equipment manufacturers commissioned us to export containerized lithium-ion battery energy storage systems (BESS) classified under UN3536. The cargo originated from multiple inland cities across China and needed to reach numerous door locations across inland Europe via river-sea intermodal transport to European base ports, then onward road transport.
The shipment presented a convergence of industry-wide pain points: oversized and overweight containers requiring specialized handling, complex dangerous goods maritime declaration procedures, stringent port filing requirements, and tight peak-season container and vessel space availability. A single documentation error could mean a container held at port for weeks.
We provided a complete compliance chain from packaging inspection and Dangerous Goods Packaging Certificate (危包证) processing through to one-stop maritime declaration and port filing — ensuring zero documentation errors across all shipments.
For inland-origin cargo, we designed an optimal "inland transport + river-sea intermodal + European inland delivery" routing for each factory location, achieving true door-to-door closed-loop delivery.
These are not standard containers. Energy storage units can exceed standard weight and dimension limits. Our engineering team produced professional lifting plans, lashing and securing schemes, and matched specialized containers and handling equipment to each unit's specifications.
Through deep partnerships with 10+ major container lines, we secured priority space allocation on Europe mainline routes. During peak season, when DG space is the first to be cut, our allocations held — guaranteeing on-time departure for every shipment.
Cargo milestones synchronized in real time. Full-chain traceability for dangerous goods transport. Early warning alerts for any exceptions — before they become problems. Customers received daily status updates throughout the transit.
